Sam began her career in talent management in 2001, working with some of the country’s leading talent agencies, before co-founding Simon & How in 2007. As well as overseeing and directing the continued growth and development of the company, Sam is proud to represent an exclusive list of film, TV and stage actors and is especially passionate about discovering, nurturing and establishing the careers of raw and diverse talent.

Simon has over 20 years experience in running a successful agency. Simon co-founded Simon & How with the ethos of investing in people, which has meant that the agency growth has been rapid and completely organic.
AGENT & COO
With over thirty years experience in the industry, JBR has a wide-range of interests. While he specialises in musical theatre, he’s also interested in physical theatre, puppetry, dance, movement and actor-musicians. JBR works very closely with his clients, designing bespoke plans and offering extensive personal time and a structured programme for new graduates. He has degrees in Film, TV and Drama, Musical Theatre, and Shakespeare reflecting his range of interests. He is also a fully qualified teacher and offers audition coaching to his small list of carefully chosen clients. He has a dog he likes to take on walks with his clients, only drinks iced coffee and produces theatre in his ‘spare’ time. He particularly enjoys working with actors who share his interests.
Emily started professional life as a Theatre Producer and has produced work at venues including the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Park Theatre, Trafalgar Studios, Theatre Royal Bath and the Arcola Theatre. She has also enjoyed freelancing for the BBC. Ultimately, her passion for championing acting talent saw her turn to artist management and for the last two years she has been thrilled to develop and nurture the careers of top, upcoming actors as an Agent.
As well as a select list of acting clients, Sam is also the Creatives Agent at Simon & How, representing directors, writers, designers, puppet designers, voice coaches and lighting designers for stage and screen. Her career of over ten years in theatre, TV and film has seen Sam work in casting, production and stage management and she enjoys a wealth of friendships, contacts and relationships at all levels of the industry, including The National Theatre, The Royal Court, RSC, Soho Theatre, BBC, ITV, Sky Arts and many more. Sam works very closely with all of her clients to develop a bespoke approach to their career development, ensuring that both parties are doing as much as they can to fulfil their potential.
Rosie trained and worked as an actress prior to making the move into talent management. She has a solid background in agenting, earning her stripes as a top level agent’s assistant for several years before establishing her own list of clients. Rosie enjoys working in all areas of the industry and is particularly keen to represent actors who share that interest.
Hayley has worked professionally both as a dancer and choreographer prior to becoming an agent. During her time as head booker at one of the country’s leading agencies, she has represented some of the most successful creatives and choreographers the industry has to offer. Hayley is very passionate about all aspects of the industry, from musical theatre to contemporary and commercial dance. She believes in building a good relationship with each of her clients and aims to guide, advise and promote her talent in every way she can.
Jen heads up the Dance department at SHA, and also looks after a specialist list of dancers working in Musical Theatre. She is passionate about versatility within the industry, and aims to work with a diverse list of dancers and choreographers, across all aspects of the business. Her talent list can frequently be spotted gracing the screens in feature films and huge advertising campaigns. Jen is always on the look out for new, exciting talent to champion.
Tabitha trained as a director and worked professionally as a producer prior to becoming an agent. She is passionate about promoting actors from a diverse range of backgrounds and believes that talent management is about creating a partnership between actor and agent. In her spare time you can find Tabitha at the cinema, and binge-watching Netflix with her pals Ben & Jerry.
